Oxymoron = BP is honest. They just keep proofing themselves to be underhanded and dishonest, pouring toxic chemicals into the atmosphere, making people sick and then saying “we didn’t do anything wrong”. Don’t know what to say anymore…shaking my head in disbelief!

Take a look for yourself at this article from the New York Times

It’s so sad and unconscionable to me that this is the stark reality of how LITTLE we can place our trust in big corporations and in the government as well. It really burns me up that so many people are getting sick and some with life threatening side effects from the ‘oxymoron’ that best describes BP.

We can no longer hide our heads in the sand, simply because it’s happening in another area! One: Storms and strong winds can carry toxins quite far. Two: Just wait long enough, and something WILL happen locally as well. Everything from toxic chemical spills, to the ‘what ifs’ of a nuclear plant (in my area), oil spills in the ocean and on land, etc….etc…..etc!!!

I truly believe that we have such an increase in cancers because of what they are putting in genetically mutated seeds, because of the levels of mercury in vaccinations, because of the improperly disposed of chemicals and waste from factories, and from the effects of things that happened but were brushed under the rug years ago…..for example (just to name a few), the Valdez oil spill some 20 years ago, and now people in that area are showing very high numbers of irreversible disease and sickness and some have even died already after being sick for years…..another example: all the chemicals our military men and women fighting, in Desert Storm and to date, have been exposed to but were not warned in any way…..and are now paying for in the way of debilitating sicknesses or disease that have totally changed their quality of life. Not to mention the birth defects in those that did have children and those that were rendered sterile.

It would seem that being aware doesn’t even serve you well, if the TRUTH you are finding out is AFTER THE FACT. Sure takes the choice and responsibility of choosing to live healthy right out of our hands!!! We don’t even get to be informed!

The steam if definitely rolling off the top of my head!

Hey sis…sorry, it’s taken me so long to respond, I haven’t done much with my blog lately…need to get back to writing….guess I just went through a funk for a while.

Anyway, thanks for your comments. Yes, it is good to have a choice, to be knowledgeable and to actually have that choice you make count because someone hasn’t made a choice ahead of you (without your knowledge) that actually undermined the choice you made.

I think this area is forever changed. I didn’t swim in the Gulf at all this past Summer and I don’t know that I ever will again. I’m actually considering moving out of this area…just don’t have the funds 😦
